Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
Cranbrook as a Diverse Community
Our school purposefully cultivates a culture of belonging through our people, campus, and programs. We are a community that practices respect, interdependence, and scholarship. As our campus mottos affirm, we Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve, and Aim High. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are elemental to our international identity. Welcome to this grand adventure as we build together.
The Office of Community and Multicultural Programs supports Cranbrook possibilities as students, teachers, families, and professionals. Our effort is to grow our awareness of self, of all people, of the environment, and of civil discourse.
"The classroom, with all its limitations, remains a location of possibility. In that field of possibility, we have the opportunity to labor for freedom, to demand of ourselves and our comrades, an openness of mind and heart that allows us to face reality even as we collectively imagine ways to move beyond boundaries, to transgress. This is education as the practice of freedom."
